The Minolta Dynax 8000i is a camera with an electronically controlled shutter. This means you will need 1x 2CR5 battery to be able to operate the camera.
It uses Minolta A-mount lenses.
Minolta Dynax cameras aren't usually associated with the big players on the electronic SLR market, but the 8000i will fight with the best of them and give them a good run for their money. This camera has it all: MASP modes, 1/8000s shutter speed (rivaling the Nikon F5 and Canon EOS-1!), 1/200s flash sync, highly accurate metering and a grip that feels very good in the hand.
The Dynax cameras now occupy a niche corner of the film market, but we feel they shouldn't: some of the A-mount lenses are fantastic and will blow you away. This is a professional camera for photographers looking for the best quality without the huge price tag.
