The Hasselblad 201F is a camera with an electronically controlled shutter. This means you will need 1x 4LR44 battery to be able to operate the shutter.
It uses V-mount lenses (C, CF, F and FE series), giving you access to an astounding arsenal of lenses. This camera comes with the rare and incredibly gorgeous Carl Zeiss Planar 110mm f2 (F), a ridiculously sharp lens that will leave you gobsmacked time and time again. No praise is high enough for this lens.
Unlike its iconic older siblings in the 500 series, the Hasselblad 201F is a sometimes-overlooked camera that nevertheless deserves everyone's attention. Introduced in 1994, the 201F has everything you want in a Hassy, and then some more. Modular design, a high and incredibly accurate 1/1000s shutter speed, intuitive use and, best of all, compatibility with all V-mount lenses, something the 500 series can't do. Honestly, the 201F has it all.
A note on the shutter and flash sync speeds. The 201F (unlike the 500 series) uses a focal-plane shutter instead of a leaf shutter. Therefore, when using F or FE-mount lenses, the flash sync speed is limited to 1/90s. If you have C or CF lenses, you can use their built-in leaf shutter instead and have a flash sync speed up to 1/500s.
