The Nikon F2 is a fully mechanical camera. This means it does not require batteries to operate the shutter.
It uses Nikon F-mount lenses, from the AI and the older pre-AI series lenses until the modern D-series Nikon lenses. This F2 comes is a body only. Ideal for those who already have a Nikon collection and wish to expand it.
As part of the Nikon Professional line, the Nikon F2 was used by photojournalists, war correspondents and many other working photographers of the 70s and 80s. It’s a solid, fully mechanical camera, with swappable focusing screens, prisms and backs, allowing you to build the perfect setup for your shooting style.

Due to the age of this camera and the nature of old light meters we can’t guarantee that the light meter still works. This isn’t an issue as the camera will function perfectly without batteries. To meter a scene before taking a picture we recommend using an external light-meter or a light-meter app on your phone. Alternatively you can use the foolproof sunny-16 rule.
