Description:

The Pentax MX is a fully mechanical camera. This means it does not require batteries to operate the shutter.

It uses Pentax K-mount lenses.

The Pentax MX is one of Pentax's first SLRs designed for professional photographers, and it shows. Being smaller than the Olympus OM-1 (it's one of the smallest SLRs ever made!) and fully mechanical, the MX is the perfect companion for those who need a reliable camera when they're on the go. Pair the MX with a 28mm f2.8 lens and you'll have the best combo you could possibly wish for.

Due to the age of this camera and the nature of old light meters, we can’t guarantee that the light meter still works. This isn’t an issue as the camera will function perfectly without batteries. To meter a scene before taking a picture we recommend using an external light-meter or a light-meter app on your phone. Alternatively you can use the foolproof sunny-16 rule.
