The Yashica FX-3 is a fully mechanical camera. This means it does not require batteries to operate the shutter
It uses a C/Y-mount lenses that give you access to the best of Yashica lenses and the amazing T* Contax series of lenses.
This camera is a reliability master. It is fully mechanical and built on a metal chassis. The covers are mode out of sturdy plastic that help to keep the camera super light.
Due to the age of this camera and the nature of old light meters we can’t guarantee that it still works. This isn’t an issue as the camera will function perfectly without any batteries. To meter a scene before taking a picture simply use an external light-meter or a light-meter app on your phone (we recommend Lux or myLightmeter), alternatively you can use the foolproof sunny-16 rule.
