Description:

The Contax 645 is a camera with an electronically controlled shutter. This means you will need 1x 2CR5 battery to be able to operate the camera.

It uses Contax 645 bayonet lenses.

The Contax 645 is a legendary camera among professional photographers. With its accurate metering, autofocus, fantastic ergonomics, shutter speeds up to 1/4000s and ease of use, this medium-format camera was used extensively by wedding and portrait photographer. Add to it the 80mm f2 lens and you've got yourself a kit to surpass any other.

This is not your everyday 6x4.5 camera. If you're not going to use it professionally, we don't recommend you buy it. If, however, you are a pro, we definitely recommend this camera. It's a joyous, heavy-duty medium-format SLR that was made for those long shoot days. 

PS: Contax has also made digital backs for this camera, but they are exceedingly rare to find.
