The Leica M4 is one of the most loved rangefinders ever made, a camera many photographers dream of owning one day. This particular M4 dates from 1967 and is a very early example, with serial number 1175200 placing it among the first 200 serial numbers of the original production batch of 3,000 cameras. Focusing is quick and precise, just line up the two images in the bright viewfinder, which shows frame lines for 35mm, 50mm, 90mm and 135mm lenses. Its quiet shutter and small size make it perfect for street photography and candid moments, where a large SLR would get noticed. The M4 also loads film faster and more easily than earlier Leicas like the M2 or M3. With the Leica M mount, it opens the door to some of the finest lenses ever made.
