The 6x7cm negative is enormous, roughly four times the area of a 35mm frame, giving extraordinary detail, tonal richness, and a depth of rendering that makes every frame feel considered. The body is fully mechanical, requiring no battery at all, with a leaf shutter built into each lens that syncs with flash at every speed. The rotating back lets you switch between portrait and landscape orientation without moving the camera, and film backs are interchangeable mid-roll. The 127mm f3.8 Sekor C is the classic standard lens for this system, equivalent to approximately 63mm in full-frame terms, sharp and well-corrected, and trusted in portrait and commercial studios for decades.
