The Minolta Dynax 5 is one of the lightest and most compact autofocus SLRs ever made, making it a great camera to carry all day. It can work fully on its own with scene modes like portrait, landscape and sports, so beginners get good results right away. As your confidence grows, aperture priority, shutter priority and full manual are just a turn of the dial away, with a fast 1/4000s shutter for bright days. It is lighter than a Canon EOS 300 yet just as easy to use, with a clear display and a built-in flash for darker scenes. The 28-80mm zoom is ideal for travel, from wide landscapes to portraits, and the Minolta A mount also works with Sony A mount lenses.
