The SRT 100 is a solid, no-nonsense SLR from Minolta's most dependable era. Released in 1971 as the entry-level sibling of the SRT 101, it shares the same all-metal build, the same Contrast Light Compensation TTL metering system, mirror lockup, and depth of field preview, differing only in its 1/500s top shutter speed. The fully mechanical shutter fires at any speed with or without a battery, and the Minolta SR mount gives access to a wide range of excellent MC and MD Rokkor lenses. Paired with the 50mm f2, it is a sharp, capable, and very satisfying combination for everyday film photography.

To meter a scene before taking a picture, we recommend using an external light-meter or for you to take our online course that will teach you how to use a film camera without the use of any external tools.
