Minolta SRT 100X 35mm SLR Film Camera with 28mm f2.5 Lens

€219,00

Description:

What I like about the SRT 100X is that it is one of the most solid, all-metal mechanical SLRs you can buy at this price. It is the final camera in Minolta's SRT series, built in 1977, and it has the same robust metal construction as its more expensive siblings. The shutter is entirely mechanical so it will fire at any speed whether the battery is flat or not. The match-needle metering system is simple and intuitive: you just align the needle in the viewfinder and shoot. The Minolta MD/SR mount gives you access to a wide range of affordable Rokkor lenses, and the 28mm f/2.5 fitted here is a proper wide-angle prime, fast enough for indoor use, and a natural choice for street photography, interiors, and travel. Compared to the more famous Canon AE-1 or Nikon FM, the SRT 100X is often overlooked, which means it is excellent value for a camera of this quality.

Due to the age of this camera and the nature of old light meters we can’t guarantee that the light meter still works. This isn’t an issue as the camera will function perfectly without batteries. To meter a scene before taking a picture we recommend using an external light meter or for you to take our online course that will teach you how to use a film camera without the use of any external tools.
