The 35-70mm Nikon lens has macro capability down to 60cm, so it works for close-up detail shots as well as everyday scenes, and one of its more unusual features is a stepless zoom, meaning you can land at any focal length between 35 and 70mm rather than being locked to a few preset stops. The lens is protected by a built-in glass pane rather than a lens cover, keeping the profile flat and the design clean. Flash modes include auto, fill, off, and auto slow sync for night portraits, and there's red-eye reduction and a self-timer on a simple and well-arranged top panel.
