The 38-120mm zoom gives you a solid range for most situations, from wide group shots to portrait framing, and the tele-macro feature lets you focus as close as 0.8m at the telephoto end, which is great for detail shots you might otherwise miss. The infrared autofocus is quick and reliable, and there is a good selection of shooting modes including night portrait, landscape, red-eye reduction and exposure compensation, all accessible without any fuss.
