The 38-76mm Olympus lens covers a useful everyday range from wide group shots to a comfortable portrait length, and the motorised zoom is operated by two large buttons on the front of the body. Autofocus handles most everyday situations reliably with focus down to 60cm, and the built-in flash offers multiple modes including night portrait and a distinctive multi-flash mode that fires four bursts in quick succession for a creative strobe effect. Exposure is fully automatic, film loads and rewinds by motor, and a subject select mode gives you a little creative guidance over how the camera prioritises focus. Simple, dependable, and very easy to pick up and use from the very first roll.
