Description
The original Mju is one of those cameras that earns its place in a bag purely by being so easy to live with. The clamshell design means there's no lens cap to lose, the rounded body slips into a pocket without catching on anything, and everything from focus to exposure is handled automatically. It's a camera you pick up and shoot with, which makes it a great daily companion for travel, social occasions, or just keeping in your pocket on the off chance something worth photographing happens. The 35mm lens is sharp enough in good light, and the close focus distance of 35cm is a nice touch for detail shots. If you're comparing it to the more well known Mju II, the original is softer in the corners and a touch slower at f/3.5, but it's also considerably more affordable and still produces lovely, characterful results.
