Olympus Pen-FT 35mm half-frame SLR film camera with 40mm f1.4 lens

€559,00

Description:

The Pen FT is one of the most remarkable cameras ever designed, and the 40mm f1.4 G.Zuiko paired here is considered by many to be the finest standard lens in the entire Pen F system. The "G" in G.Zuiko tells you exactly what you are getting: a 7-element optical design that brings the kind of resolution and contrast more commonly associated with much larger lenses. Released in 1966, the FT added open-aperture TTL metering to the same brilliantly compact body as the original Pen F, with a rotary titanium shutter that syncs with flash at every speed up to 1/500s. The 40mm focal length is equivalent to approximately 58mm in full-frame terms, sitting naturally for portraits and everyday photography, and wide open at f1.4 it gives lovely subject separation and a warm, smooth rendering. Each 36-exposure roll gives you 72 shots in the half-frame format.

  • Type: Fully mechanical
  • Maximum Shutter Speed: 1/500s, flash sync at all speeds

Battery: PX625 equivalent, such as MRB625 zinc-air, for the light meter (included)

Due to the age of this camera and the nature of old light meters we can't guarantee that the light meter still works. This isn't an issue as the camera will function perfectly without batteries. To meter a scene before taking a picture we recommend using an external light-meter or for you to take our online course that will teach you how to use a film camera without the use of any external tools.
