The 42mm f1.2 is the fastest and best lens ever made for the Pen F system, and one of the fastest normal lenses ever made for any half-frame camera.
At f1.2 the subject separation and low-light capability are exceptional, and the rendering wide open has a distinctive character that photographers who have used this lens tend to remember. The 42mm focal length is equivalent to approximately 60mm in full-frame terms, sitting naturally for portraits and everyday shooting. The FT body adds open-aperture TTL metering over the original Pen F, the rotary titanium shutter syncs with flash at every speed up to 1/500s, and each 36-exposure roll gives you 72 shots. A rare and very desirable combination.

Due to the age of this camera and the nature of old light meters we can't guarantee that the light meter still works. This isn't an issue as the camera will function perfectly without batteries. To meter a scene before taking a picture we recommend using an external light-meter or for you to take our online course that will teach you how to use a film camera without the use of any external tools.
