We like the Superzoom 115 for combining a very practical 3x zoom range with an 11-point multi-wide autofocus system that makes it more accurate than most compacts of its level. The 38-115mm lens takes you from a natural wide angle for groups and everyday scenes at 38mm to a solid telephoto at 115mm for portraits, travel details, and subjects you can't always get close to. Fully automatic exposure and film handling keep things simple, and a retractable lens cover protects the glass when the camera is off. Five flash modes cover auto, red-eye reduction, fill, off, and slow sync for night portraits, and a landscape mode locks focus to infinity for wide open scenes.
