Olympus Trip 35 35mm Point and Shoot Film Camera with 40mm f2.8 Lens

€219,00

Description:

What I like about the Trip 35 is that it has never needed a battery and never will. The selenium cell around the lens powers the exposure system entirely from ambient light, setting the aperture automatically so all you have to do is choose your focus zone and press the shutter. The 40mm f/2.8 Zuiko lens is sharp, well-regarded, and sits at a focal length that feels natural for street photography and everyday life. Zone focus is quick once you know your rough distances, and at f/8 or f/11 in daylight almost everything from a metre away will be in focus anyway. It is small, fully mechanical, and utterly reliable. A camera with no electronics means nothing to go wrong, and plenty of Trip 35s are still shooting well after fifty years of use. One of the most enduring and likeable cameras ever made.

Due to the age of this camera and the nature of old light meters we can’t guarantee that the light meter still works. This isn’t an issue as the camera will function perfectly without batteries. To meter a scene before taking a picture we recommend using an external light meter or for you to take our online course that will teach you how to use a film camera without the use of any external tools.
