Pentax K1000 35mm SLR film camera with 35mm f3.5 lens
Description:
The K1000 is one of the most enduring manual SLRs ever made, produced from 1976 all the way to 1997 with almost no changes, because there was simply nothing to improve. It is fully mechanical, built from metal, and the shutter will fire at any speed with or without a battery. The match-needle metering system is clear and easy to read in the viewfinder, and the Pentax K-mount gives you access to a huge range of affordable SMC Pentax lenses. The 35mm f/3.5 prime is a natural, slightly wide focal length that works well for street photography, travel, and everyday shooting. It is fast enough for most situations and gives a perspective that feels close to what the eye sees but with a little more context in the frame. The K1000 is often recommended as the ideal first manual film camera, and for good reason: there are no auto modes, no menus, and nothing to distract you from learning how photography actually works.
Specs:

- Lens: Pentax K-mount, 35mm f/3.5

Due to the age of this camera and the nature of old light meters we can’t guarantee that the light meter still works. This isn’t an issue as the camera will function perfectly without batteries. To meter a scene before taking a picture we recommend using an external light meter or for you to take our online course that will teach you how to use a film camera without the use of any external tools.
