Released in 1971 as a refined version of the original SP, it added a hot shoe and an extended film speed range while keeping everything that made the Spotmatic so well regarded: all-metal construction, a fully mechanical shutter that works without any battery, and the universal M42 screw mount giving access to one of the widest lens libraries in all of film photography. Paired with the 35mm f3.5 Super-Takumar, a sharp and compact wide-angle that is excellent for street photography, travel, and architecture, this is a very capable and satisfying combination for anyone who wants to learn photography on a camera that will last a lifetime.

To meter a scene before taking a picture we recommend using an external light meter or for you to take our online course that will teach you how to use a film camera without the use of any external tools.
