We have always liked the Electro 35 GSN for its lens first and everything else second. The 45mm f/1.7 Color-Yashinon is a genuinely fast optic that gives you real low-light capability and a pleasing background separation that you wouldn't expect from a camera at this price point. The stepless electronic shutter is a clever bit of engineering, adjusting continuously between 30 seconds and 1/500s in aperture priority to get the exposure right rather than stepping between fixed speeds. The coupled rangefinder makes manual focusing precise and satisfying, and the GSN is notable for being the first in the Electro series to include a hot shoe. It's a larger, heftier camera than most rangefinders, but that weight gives it a solid, confident feel in the hand. A great choice for anyone who wants a fast lens and a capable automatic rangefinder without spending Leica money.
