Learn how to make beautiful darkroom prints ! Join us for our next course on Saturday the 23rd of October 🥰
This is where you will be kept up to date about all the events happening at Mori Film Lab. Our priority is to create an active space for the local film community and we can’t wait for you to be a part of it!
📸 We host free community photowalks. This is a great way to meet other local photographers, try out new cameras, swap film and more!
Whilst we normally organise these walks in Brussels, we'll definitely be holding some in Gent, Antwerp and other cities!
The photowalks are completely free and are usually held on a Sundays.
The walk normally leaves from our store in Brussels, giving you the chance to grab a roll of film before we head off.
📆 Photowalks will resume soon !
Our last photowalk took place on the 4th of July:
The walk starts at 10am at the lab on Rue du croissant 66b, 1190 Forest.
You can meet us at 9:30 to grab a last roll of film before going.
We will then head out and take you to discover some of our favourite spots around Forest.
The walk will end at 1pm with a refreshing drink and the opportunity for you to drop off your film for developing.
Bring your friends and please RSVP on our Facebook event so we know roughly how many people to expect.
We hold regular printing classes to help you become fully independent in the art of silver print making. These are 5 hours classes that will teach you everything you need to know to get started with black and white printing.
These are great for beginners or as a refresher course if you have used a darkroom it in the past.
Taking this course will give you the required knowledge to come use our community darkroom.
Classes will start after the opening of the colour section of our darkroom beginning 2022.
Chromogenic printing using RA4 chemistry. Learn everything you need to know to start your darkroom colour printing journey.
These classes are for more advanced printers. It is advised you have prior experience with black and white printing and know your way around a darkroom as colour printing will require you to work in complete darkness.
Taking this course will give you the required knowledge to access the colour section in our community darkroom.
Classes will resume after the opening of our new darkroom ene of October.
Getting your film developed at a lab can get expensive, so why not learn to develop your film at home?
Our developing classes are usually held on Weekends, once every two months. Our classes cover everything from the differences in film types and developing methods to the effects of using different chemistry to change your results.
This is great class for beginners or even as a refresher course for those who have done it in the past!
Love exhibitions? Love shooting film? You're in luck! Our community exhibitions are a great way for photographers to get their first prints out into the world.
The exhibitions have a set theme or an open theme. All submissions must be shot on film, but the film does not have to have been processed with us. Keep an eye out on the theme for the next exhibition and get shooting!
Community exhibitions are free to enter, so come on down and say hello!
Up now: Bxl on film exhibition from October 21 - January.
For this exhibition we’re partnering up with Instagram page @bxlonfilm.
Through their work online BXL on film wants to showcase the streets of brussels as seen by Brussels’ youth. All of course recorded on film.
This exhibition is the first time @bxlonfilm is visible somewhere else than online so we want to use this opportunity to bring film shooters together.
A vernissage is organised on Thursday the 21st of October and you are invited. You can RSVP using this link: Facebook event - BXL on film exhibition

“This picture was taken during a very foggy morning, not too far from my parents house in Poland. I equipped myself with two flims: A Kodak Vision3 800T for the Olympus, and a Rollei Retro 400, for the Konica. Since taking this, the Retro 400 has become my go-to roll for grey day shooting.”
Tag us on Instagram ! Every month we select one of our favourite pictures taken by our costumers. To be part of this competition all you have to do is to tag us in your pictures on Instragram @morifilmlab.
