Join us on Sunday the 16th APRIL from 1 to 5pm and learn everything you need to know on how to print with this alternative process!
Come and learn the basics of salt paper printing!
During this 4h workshop we will teach you the chemical recipe to transform normal paper into UV-sensitive paper.
The principle is quite simple: salt and silver nitrate will react together on the paper to give silver chloride, a light-sensitive compound. When exposed to light, the silver chloride turns into silver and gives off beautiful shades of brown. Sodium hyposulphite (the fixer) is used to remove the unreacted silver chloride. It will then be possible to keep the print for a long time.
We will work on quality watercolour paper, with 1/1 negative films printed beforehand with your personal photos.
This workshop is very fun and you will leave with many of your own images!
If you are interested please send us your images in good quality a week before the workshop! At least 2 IMAGES of your choices :)
