Description:
The Nikon FA is a camera with an electronically controlled shutter. This means you will need 2x LR44 batteries to be able to operate the camera..
It uses Nikon F-mount lenses. Being one of the oldest F mount cameras, you will be able to use all F-mount lenses from early non-AI series until the recent D-series. Later lenses will still mount, but you will not have control over the aperture.
The FA is the forgotten Nikon SLR. Released at the same time as the Nikon FE2, it was the first camera ever to have matrix metering in all modes. The matrix metering allows for much more accurate exposure reading in every lighting situation. This makes the FA perfect for those who rely on semi-automatic modes to snap their pictures.
The FA also has a max shutter speed of 1/4000s (!) and a flash-sync speed of 1/250. Add a robust titanium shutter and we can guarantee you this camera is a joy to use!
