The FF-3AF Super is a well-built early 80s compact that quietly does everything right. Released in 1982, it has a sharp multi-coated Rikenon f/3.2 lens, reliable autofocus, and programme auto exposure that handles itself well across a wide range of conditions. The viewfinder is noticeably bright and clear for a camera of this era. One design choice worth calling out: the flash defaults to off and has its own dedicated switch, which means you never accidentally fire flash when you don't want to. For street photography or any situation where you want to control the light, that is a genuinely useful feature. ISO is set manually via a dial, giving you a bit more control than fully automatic DX cameras. The sliding lens cover turns the camera on and off, and the motorised advance and rewind handle the film for you. A simple, dependable everyday compact that is easy to overlook but hard to fault once you start shooting with it.
