The selenium meter built into the front of the body generates its own electricity from ambient light, meaning this camera has needed no battery since the day it was made. As a half-frame camera it shoots two portrait-oriented frames per standard 35mm frame, giving you 72 shots from a 36-exposure roll. The 28mm f2.8 Canon lens is a sharp 5-element design, and the match-needle meter guides you to the correct exposure via a coupled dial that sets both shutter speed and aperture together. Zone focus via pictograms is simple and quick to use. A beautifully designed, self-sufficient little camera that is a genuine pleasure to shoot with.
