The T90 is one of the most significant film cameras ever made, and I say that without much hesitation. It was the last and most ambitious Canon FD-mount SLR, and its ergonomic design by Luigi Colani, with the rounded body, built-in grip, and thumb-dial controls, directly inspired the shape and interface of every Canon EOS camera that followed, and frankly every SLR made since. The camera has a built-in motor drive capable of 4.5 frames per second, a maximum shutter speed of 1/4000s, eight auto-exposure modes including shutter and aperture priority with safety shift, and a multi-spot metering system that lets you take up to eight individual readings and average them, a feature still rare today. Paired with the 28mm f/2.8 FD lens, it is a versatile wide-angle combination well suited to street, travel, and documentary work.
