The SRT 100X is the refined final chapter of Minolta's much-loved SRT series. Released in 1977, it improved on the SRT 100 with a faster 1/1000s top shutter speed and the addition of a hot shoe, while keeping everything that made the SRT cameras so dependable: a fully mechanical shutter that fires without any battery, solid all-metal construction, a bright viewfinder with match-needle metering, and the Minolta SR mount giving access to a wide range of excellent MC and MD Rokkor lenses. The 50mm f2 Rokkor included here is a sharp, compact, and very capable standard lens that suits portraits, street photography, and everyday life equally well. A camera that teaches you photography properly, and that will keep working long after electronic cameras of the same era have given up.

Due to the age of this camera and the nature of old light meters we can’t guarantee that the light meter still works. This isn’t an issue as the camera will function perfectly without batteries. To meter a scene before taking a picture we recommend using an external light meter or for you to take our online course that will teach you how to use a film camera without the use of any external tools.
