The L35 AF2 is the follow-up to Nikon's beloved L35AF, and it carries the same core qualities that made that camera so well regarded: a sharp 35mm f/2.8 lens, reliable autofocus, and fully automatic operation in a compact all-metal chassis. The f/2.8 aperture is fast for a point and shoot, giving you noticeably better low-light performance and a touch of background separation that most cameras in this class can't match. Everything is automatic, exposure, focus, film advance and rewind, and the flash sync goes all the way up to the maximum shutter speed, which is an unusual and useful feature for fill flash in daylight. The camera runs on standard AA batteries and Nikon estimates up to 100 rolls without flash, which is remarkably efficient. Compact, solid, and capable, it's a camera that produces results well above what its unassuming looks might suggest.
