The OM30 sits in an interesting and often overlooked position in the Olympus story. Released in 1983, it was the first Olympus camera to experiment with autofocus, bringing that ambition into the compact, beautifully finished OM body that photographers already loved. With the 50mm f1.8 Zuiko fitted here it operates in aperture priority or full manual, with a focus confirmation indicator in the viewfinder letting you know when your subject is sharp. A 12-bar LED display shows the selected shutter speed clearly, and there's an exposure compensation dial for backlit scenes and tricky light. The Olympus OM mount gives access to an excellent range of Zuiko lenses, many of which are still regarded as among the finest ever made for a 35mm system, and the 50mm f1.8 is a sharp, compact standard lens that suits portraits and everyday life equally well.

This is a very unique et very hard to find camera. I personally had to look for years before being able to add one to my Olympus collection.
