The EES-2 is the finest of the Olympus Pen EE family. Launched in 1968, it takes everything that makes the Pen EE-2 so joyful and adds two meaningful upgrades: a faster 30mm f2.8 D.Zuiko lens for better low-light performance, and a 4-zone focusing system for more precise control over depth of field. The selenium cell around the lens powers the fully automatic exposure system without any battery at all, and the red flag warning locks the shutter if there is not enough light, so you never waste a frame. As a half-frame camera it shoots 72 exposures from a 36-exposure roll, all in portrait orientation naturally. The 30mm focal length is equivalent to approximately 43mm in full-frame terms, giving a pleasingly natural perspective. A beautifully made, completely battery-free camera that doubles your shots per roll.
