The fully mechanical shutter fires at any speed with or without a battery, and the TTL metering system uses two viewfinder indicator lights to guide your exposure, one for overexposure and one for underexposure, keeping things clear and simple. The 50mm f1.9 Yashinon lens is a capable and sharp standard optic that renders images with good contrast and a pleasing quality at all apertures. Everything on this camera is set manually, which makes it a great choice for anyone who wants to learn how exposure works from the ground up, and the heavy, all-metal construction gives it a reassuring solidity that modern cameras rarely match.
