The Fujica ST605N is a fully mechanical camera. This means it does not require batteries to operate the shutter.
It uses M42-mount lenses.
The Fujica ST605N is a robust camera has a shutter going up to a weird 1/700s. It is a completely no-nonsense camera that does the job wonderfully well. The M42 mount allows the camera to be paired with a superb range of lenses. The ST605N is also reliable and easily repairable when damaged. It's a great system for students or beginners.
Due to the age of this camera and the nature of old light meters, we can’t guarantee that the light meter still works. This isn’t an issue as the camera will function perfectly without batteries. To meter a scene before taking a picture we recommend using an external light-meter or a light-meter app on your phone. Alternatively you can use the foolproof sunny-16 rule.
