Description:

The Olympus 35RC is a mechanical camera. This means it does not require batteries to operate the shutter.

The Olympus 35RC is probably our favourite fully mechanical rangefinder. It is the smallest mechanical rangefinder ever made and yet still has one of the most amazing lenses. The 42mm f2.8 combines one of the best focal length with glass of an amazing sharpness and contrast. The rangefinder is also really easy to focus and has the shutter speed displayed in the finder.

Due to the age of this camera and the nature of old light meters we can’t guarantee that the light meter still works. This isn’t an issue as the camera will function perfectly without batteries. To meter a scene before taking a picture we recommend using an external light-meter or a light-meter app on your phone. Alternatively you can use the foolproof sunny-16 rule.
